A rare Eterna-Matic Super Kon-Tiki 130 PTX/1 diver’s watch from 1965. Serial number 514xxxx.
The watch features an original and nearly flawless black “gilt-gloss” tritium dial and hands. The black rotating bezel is in like-new condition. The stainless steel case is in good shape, complete with its original crown. The original crystal bears Eterna’s ball-bearing logo. On the case back, you’ll find a raised golden Kon-Tiki raft emblem. The watch is still splash-resistant. The case measures 40mm in diameter.
The watch has just undergone a complete restoration, featuring Eterna’s calibre 1424 UD automatic movement.
It comes with a green NATO strap, but we offer a wide range of leather straps from our collection for you to choose from.
Please note: We wanted to preserve the watch’s original crystal. While it does have a minor crack, the crystal is exceptionally robust, and the crack does not extend through it, allowing the watch to maintain its splash resistance. Upon request, we can replace the crystal with a new one.

KON-TIKI
Eterna introduced the first KonTiki wristwatch model in 1958. This was a 36.5mm, 60-meter water-resistant automatic watch, named after the balsa wood Kon-Tiki raft used by Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl. Thor Heyerdahl and four other adventurers sailed the Kon-Tiki raft from the coast of Peru to the Polynesian archipelago in 1947. Their goal was to prove the theory that the Polynesian islands were settled from the east, contrary to previous beliefs. The journey lasted 101 days and garnered significant positive attention in the post-war world. The subsequent KonTiki model was designed as a professional diver’s watch. The Super KonTiki 130 IPT was introduced in 1960. For this watch, Eterna constructed a reinforced 37mm stainless steel case with a rotating bezel. The watch was water-resistant up to 200 meters. The second evolution of the Super model, the 130 PTX, was unveiled in 1962-63, featuring a larger and sturdier 40mm stainless steel case. The watch retained its traditional oversized crown but offered improved protection against water pressure with the introduction of a screw-down crown. The first versions equipped with locking crowns came around 1966. The third evolution, the 130 FTP, was introduced in 1967, featuring a new automatic movement with enhanced power reserve. The case remained 40mm in diameter, receiving only minor cosmetic changes. The “Super” text on the dial shifted below the “Kon-Tiki” text, but officially, these watches always fall under the Super KonTiki models.Harvinainen Eterna-Matic Super-KonTiki 130 PTX/1 sukeltajankello vuodelta 1965. Kellossa on alkuperäinen ja lähes virheetön musta ”gilt-gloss” tritium kellotaulu ja -osoittimet. Musta kierrettävä bezel on uudenveroinen. Teräskuori on hyväkuntoinen ja siinä on alkuperäinen nuppi. Alkuperäisessä lasikkeessa on Eternan kuulalaakeri-logo. Takapohjassa on kultainen Kon-Tiki lautan kohokuvio. Kello on yhä roiskevesitiivis. Kuoren koko on 40mm.
Kellossa on juuri täysin kunnostettu Eternan cal. 1424 UD automaattikoneisto.
Kellossa on vihreä NATO-ranneke. Kelloon on saatavilla paljon erilaisia nahkaranteita mallistostamme.
Huom. Halusimme säilyttää kellon alkuperäisen lasikkeen. Lasikkeessa on pieni särö, mutta koska lasike on hyvin vahva, niin särö ei ylety lasikkeen läpi ja kello on yhä roiskevesitiivis. Pyydettäessä voimme vaihtaa kelloon uuden lasikkeen.
Kellolla on 12kk huoltotakuu.
KON-TIKI
Eterna kehitti ensimmäisen KonTiki rannekello mallin vuonna 1958. Tämä oli 36,5 mm kokoinen, 60 m syvyyteen vesitiivis automaattikello ja se sai nimensä Norjalaisen tutkimusmatkailijan Thor Heyerdahlin käyttämän Kon-Tiki lautan mukaan. Thor Heyerdahl ja neljä muuta matkaajaa purjehtivat balsapuisella Kon-Tiki lautalla Perun rannikolta Polynesian saaristoon vuonna 1947. Heidän tavoitteenaan oli todistaa vanha väite, että Polynesian saaristo asutettiin idän suunnasta toisin kuin oli aiemmin väitetty. Matka kesti 101 päivää ja se sai suurta positiivista huomiota sodanjälkeisen maailmassa.
Seuraava KonTiki malli olikin jo tarkoitettu ammattilaisen sukelluskelloksi. Super-KonTiki 130 IPT esiteltiin vuonna 1960. Tätä kelloa varten Eterna rakensi vahvistetun 37 mm teräskuoren kierrettävällä lasisarjalla. Kello oli vesitiivis 200 m syvyyteen saakka. Super-mallin toinen kehitysversio 130 PTX esiteltiin vuonna 1962-63 ja sen mukana kello sai halkaisijaltaan suuremman ja järeämmän 40mm teräskuoren. Kellon aiempaa suurempi, mutta yhä perinteinen vetonuppi antoi paremman suojan veden painetta vasten. Ensimmäiset kierrettävällä lukkonupilla varustetut versiot tulivat käyttöön n.1966.
Kolmas kehitysversio 130 FTP esiteltiin 1967 ja sen mukana kello sai uuden automaattikoneiston, jonka käyntivara oli aiempaa parempi. Kuori pysyi 40 mm kokoisena saaden vain pieniä kosmeettisia muutoksia. Kellotaulussa Super-teksti siirtyi Kon-Tiki tekstin alle, mutta virallisesti nämä kellot ovat aina Super-KonTiki malleja.
