ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL DATE REF. 1530 FROM 1975.
A very rare Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date ref. 1530 from 1975, featuring a distinctive 36 mm stainless steel case with an integrated bracelet. Produced for a very short period in the mid-1970s, ref. 1530 is an unusual model in the Rolex collection, with total production commonly estimated at fewer than 1,500 examples.
Watch is fitted with an immaculate original silvered tritium dial and -hands. Ref. 1530 was the first automatic Rolex model to feature a sapphire crystal, marking an important step in the development of the brand’s mechanical watches.
Distinctive angular case design and integrated bracelet also make ref. 1530 an important predecessor to the modern Land-Dweller collection, introduced in 2025, which revisits this characteristic Rolex design language.
This model had a Rolex cal.1570 automatic chronometer movement. Movement was fully serviced in our shop in 2025 and recent tests showed the movement to be keeping time exceptionally well.
Watch has Rolex ref. 96660 Flat Oyster braclet in very good condition.

Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date ref. 1530 on yksi kiinnostavimmista ja harvinaisimmista 1970-luvun Rolex-malleista. Se edustaa merkin varhaista integroidun rannekkeen muotoilua ja toimii kiinnostavana linkkinä uuden 2025 esitellyn Land-Dweller-mallin muotokieleen.
Vuonna 1975 esitelty ref. 1530 oli automaattikoneistolla varustettu teräsmalli, jossa kulmikas 36 mm Oyster-kuori ja siihen integroitu teräsranneke muodostivat yhtenäisen kokonaisuuden. Mallia valmistettiin suhteellisen vähän ennen Oysterquartz-malliston esittelyä vuonna 1977. Yleisesti arvioidaan, että kokonaistuotantomäärän jääneen alle 1500 kpl. Rolex OP Date ref. 1530 oli myös ensimmäinen automaattikoneistoinen malli, joissa Rolex käytti safiirilasia.
Tässä yksilössä on erittäin kaunis hopeoitu tritium kellotaulu ja -osoittimet. Kiillotettu lasisarja ja teräskuori ovat huippukunnossa. Kuori on yhä vesitiivis, testattu +5/-0,7 bar. Kuoren koko on 36 mm.
Rolex cal. 1570 automaattikoneisto on huollettu meillä vuonna 2025 ja nyt tehdyissä testeissä se toimi moitteettomasti.
Kellon harvinainen ja malliin kuuluva Flat-Oyster ref. 96660 teräsranneke on hyväkuntoinen.
Kellon mukana tulee Rolexin vihreä huoltopussi, ei alkuperäistä laatikkoa/papereita.
Kellolla on 12 kk huoltotakuu.
