A Rare Zenith ref. A271 chronograph from 1960s. Near mint example.

Watch has flawless silvered tritium dial and matching tritium hands. Dial protected by acrylic crystal. Stainless steel case remains in excellent condition, with original serial number clearly visible on case back. Watch remains splash resistant. Case diameter is 37 mm.

Zenith manual-wind chronograph movement cal. 146D is in very good condition and was serviced by us in August 2025.

Watch is fitted with black Saffiano leather strap from our own collection. No original box or papers.

Zenith A271 chronograph from 1960s

ZENITH A271 Zenith introduced reference A271 in early 1960s. Model was offered with several dial variants under same reference number. Known dial colors include silver, grey, black, black reverse panda, and metallic blue. Majority of A271 examples show moisture-related dial damage over time, making flawless specimens particularly rare. Zenith used manually wound chronograph movements supplied by Martel, calibers 146D and 146DP, in A271 and later related reference A278. Kellossa on alkuperäinen, virheetön hopeoitu tritium kellotaulu ja -osoittimet. Kellotaulun suojana on akryylilasi. Teräskuori on erittäin hyvässä kunnossa. Takapohjassa on näkyvissä alkuperäinen sarjanumero. Kuori on yhä roiskevesitiivis. Kuoren koko on 37 mm.

Zenith cal.146D manuaalivetoinen kronografikoneisto on erittäin hyvässä kunnossa. Koneisto on huollettu meillä 8.2025.

Kellossa on meidän oman malliston Saffiano-nahkaranneke. Ei alkuperäistä laatikkoa/papereita.

ZENITH A271

Zenith toi A271 mallin myyntiin 1960-luvun alkupuolella. Mallista esiteltiin useita eri tauluversiota, jotka kaikki olivat saman ref. numeron alla. Tauluvärejä tiedetään olleen ainakin: hopea, harmaa, musta, musta ”reverse panda” sekä metallin sininen. Suurimmassa osassa A271 malleista on kellotaulussa ajan myötä ilmaantunut kosteusvaurioita. Virheettömät yksilöt ovat harvinaisia.

Zenith käytti A271 mallissa sekä saman mallin myöhemmässä variaatiossa A278 Martelin valmistamia manuaalivetoisia cal.146D ja 146DP kronografikoneistoja. Näiden koneistojen ero oli spiraalin muodossa (Breguet vs. tasospiraali) ja iskusuoja mekanismissa.
