TUDOR BLACK BAY 79220N Tudor Black Bay Heritage 79920N. Full set. Purchased from Bucherer in October 2015. The watch features a flawless black dial and gold-tone snowflake-style hands. The original “smiley-face” dial has gold-tone text. The black bezel has a red triangle and white luminescent dot. The stainless steel case is in excellent condition. The case is waterproof, tested at +10/-0.7 bar. The case size is 41mm. The watch is powered by the ETA 2824-2 movement, which was used in the early Black Bay models. The movement has undergone accuracy and power reserve tests and functions very well. The watch comes with the original Tudor NATO strap. Also included is Tudor’s original unused stainless steel bracelet. All components included in the original sales package are provided: the original boxes (inner and outer, both in excellent condition), user manuals, warranty card, and purchase receipt. The watch comes with a 12-month service warranty. BLACK BAY HERITAGE 2012-2015 Tudor introduced the first Black Bay Heritage model, 79220R, in 2012. The first model had a black dial with gold-tone text and slightly cream-toned lume in the indices. Stainless steel case diameter was 41mm, and the bezel was in burgundy colour. In these early models, Tudor used ETA cal. 2824 movements. In these first models “Self-Winding” text on the dial was shaped like a smiling mouth. This is how the dial got its nickname, “smiley-face.” The next Black Bay model, 79220B, was introduced in 2014. It had the same case and movement but featured a simpler color scheme. The black dial had silver-tone text, white lume, and a blue bezel, giving the watch a more technical and rugged appearance compared to the previous model. The last “smiley-face” model was the 79220N introduced in 2015. This had the most classic appearance, with a black dial, gold-tone text and hands, and a black bezel, closely resembling the original 1950s Tudor 7922 Submariner. In 2016, Tudor introduced its first MT (Manufacture Tudor) movements to the Black Bay models, accompanied by changes in the dial’s appearance. The “smiley-face” disappeared, and the old Tudor Rose logo was replaced by the Tudor Shield logo. The Tudor Black Bay 79220N with a “smiley-face” dial was in production for only one year. In 2015, Tudor created a unique Tudor Black Bay One model based on the 79220N for the Only Watch charity auction, featuring a dial and hands different from the production model. The watch was sold for 375,000 Swiss francs.

Kellossa on virheetön musta kellotaulu ja kullanväriset snow-flake -malliset osoittimet. Alkuperäisessä smiley-face kellotaulussa on kullanväriset tekstit. Mustassa bezelissä on punainen kolmio ja valkoinen lume-dot. Teräskuori on erittäin hyvässä kunnossa. Kuori on sukellustiivis, testattu +10/-0,7 bar. Kuoren koko on 41 mm.

Kellon koneisto on ensimmäisiin Black Bay malleihin kuuluva Eta 2824-2. Koneistolle on tehty käynti- ja reservitestit ja se toimii erittäin hyvin.

Kellossa on alkuperäinen Tudor NATO-ranneke. Mukana tulee myös Tudorin alkuperäinen käyttämätön teräsranneke.

Mukana tulee kaikki alkuperäisen myyntikokonaisuuden osat: alkuperäiset huippukuntoiset laatikot (sisä ja ulko), käyttöohjeet, takuukortti ja ostokuitti.

BLACK BAY HERITAGE 2012-2015

Tudor esitteli ensimmäisen Black Bay Heritage mallin 79220R vuonna 2012. Kellossa oli musta kellotaulu kullanvärisillä teksteillä ja lievästi kerman sävyyn sävytetty indeksien loistemassa. Teräskuoren koko on 41 mm ja bezel oli burgundinpunainen. Tudor käytti ensimmäisissä malleissa Etan cal. 2824 koneistoa. Eta koneistolla varustetut mallit tunnistaa myöhemmistä 41 mm Black Bay -malleista kellotaulun Self-Winding -tekstistä, joka oli hymyilevän suun muotoinen. Tästä tuleekin taulun kutsumanimi smiley-face.

Seuraava Black Bay malli 79220B esiteltiin 2014. Kellossa oli sama kuori ja koneisto, mutta kellotaulu on värimaailmaltaan yksinkertaisempi. Musta kellotaulu hopeanvärisellä tekstillä, valkoisella lumella ja sinisellä bezelillä antoi kellolle edellistä mallia teknisemmän ja karumman ilmeen.

Viimeinen smiley-face -malli oli 2015 esitelty 79220N. Tämä oli ilmeeltään klassisin. Musta kellotaulu kullanvärisillä teksteillä ja -osoittimilla sekä mustalla bezelillä oli lähimpänä alkuperäistä 1950-luvunTudor 7922 Submariner -mallia.

Vuonna 2016 Tudor toi ensimmäisen kerran Black Bay malleihin MT (Manufacture Tudor) koneistot ja samalla kellotaulun ilme muuttui. Smiley-face poistui ja vanhan Tuodor Rose -logon korvasi Tudorin Shield -logo.

Tudor Black Bay 79220N smiley-face kellotaululla oli tuotannossa vain yhden vuoden ajan.

2015 Tudor valmisti 79220N mallin pohjalta Only Watch hyväntekeväisyyshuutokauppaan uniikin Tudor Black Bay One -mallin, jossa oli tuotantomallista poikkeava kellotaulu ja osoittimet. Kellon myyntihinta oli 375,000 Sfr.
