Rolex Sea-Dweller 126600 from 2017

Introduced in 2017 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Sea-Dweller, reference 126600 brought a number of important updates to Rolex’s professional diving watch. Case diameter was increased from 40 to 43 mm, while the model was fitted with Rolex’s new-generation calibre 3235 and, for the first time in the Sea-Dweller line, a Cyclops lens over the date.

Watch has a deep black dial with large luminous hour markers and hands with Chromalight luminous material. Red “Sea-Dweller” lettering is similar to the first Sea-Dweller from 1967.

Oystersteel case measures 43 mm in diameter and features a screw-down Triplock winding crown, screw-down case back and helium escape valve. Unidirectional bezel is fitted with a black Cerachrom ceramic insert with platinum-coated graduations. Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal incorporates Rolex’s Cyclops lens over the date at 3 o’clock. Water resistance is rated at 1,220 metres / 4,000 feet.

Oyster bracelet with solid three-piece links is fitted with an Oysterlock safety clasp and Rolex Glidelock extension system, allowing the bracelet to be adjusted without tools.

Powering the watch is Rolex’s in-house automatic calibre 3235. Movement features a bidirectional Perpetual rotor, blue Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers. Power reserve is approximately 70 hours, and the movement is certified as a Superlative Chronometer with an accuracy of −2/+2 seconds per day. Movement has just been serviced in 9.2026.
