Rare Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust ref.1600 from year 1973, with original box and papers.

Watch features an outstanding matte black tritium Confetti dial with original tritium hands. Smooth bezel specific to reference 1600 and stainless steel case remain in fine condition. Case retains water resistance and has been pressure tested to +5.0 / −0.7 bar. Case diameter is 36 mm.

Rolex automatic cal. 1570 movement has been fully serviced by us in August 2025.

Rolex Jubilee stainless steel bracelet ref. 67510/555 Bracelet is still in in excellent condition. Clasp code is C (1978).

Watch comes with original Rolex presentation box, Rolex service pouch, and original warranty certificate issued by W. Becker & Co., Hamburg, 1973.

Rolex Datejust 1600 “Confetti dial” from 1973

CONFETTI DIAL Certain Rolex Datejust and Day-Date models from 1960s–1970s feature rare Confetti dial variation. Dial usually appears matte black at first glance, but closer inspection reveals wide spectrum of tiny colored specks within surface. These dots may appear in red, green, blue, or even silver tones. Combination of black base and multicolored particles gives dial almost velvety appearance. These dials are extremely scarce and exact origin remains unknown. Kellossa on upea mattamusta tritium Confetti kellotaulu ja alkuperäiset tritium-osoittimet. 1600 mallin sileä bezel ja teräskuori on hienossa kunnossa. Kuori on yhä vesitiivis, testattu +5.0/-0,7bar. Kuoren koko on 36 mm.

CONFETTI DIAL

Osassa Rolexin 1960-70-luvun Datejust ja Day-Date malleista esiintyy harvinaista Confetti-taulu variaatiota. Kyseessä on useimmiten musta kellotaulu joka nopeasti katsottuna näyttää tasaisen matta mustalta, mutta jossa on tarkasti katsottuna mustan värin lisäksi laaja kirjo erilaisia pistemäisiä värejä. Nämä väripisteet voivat olla punaisia, vihreitä, sinisiä tai jopa hopean sävyjä. Tämä mustan ja väripisteiden yhdistelmä antaa kellotaululle lähes samettisen ilmeen.

Nämä taulut ovat hyvin harvinaisia ja alkuperää ei vielä tiedetä. On mahdollista, että kyseessä on ollut Rolexilla tauluja valmistaneen Singerin tai Bayelerin tekemä pintakäsittely kokeilu, joka on ollut käytössä vain hetken aikaa 1960-70-luvun vaihteessa.
