A Rare Omega 33.3 DB 2404 Jumbo chronograph from around 1948.
Watch features a well-preserved silver-plated two-tone dial with a rhodium-plated Tachymètre scale on the outer edge. The leaf-shaped hands are made of gilt brass and blued steel.
The 20-micron gold-plated case has long reed-shaped lugs. The case back is made of stainless steel and bears Omega stamps and the reference number 2404 on the inside, with the marking 1010 on the outside. The case is not sealed, so the watch is suitable for gentle use only. The case size is 37.5 mm.
Omega cal. 33.3 CHRO T5 PC shock-protected manual-winding chronograph movement has been fully restored.
The watch comes with a Hirsch London Alligator custom-order strap. No original box or papers.

OMEGA 33.3
Omega’s chronographs from the 1940s and 1950s, featuring the cal. 33.3 movement, are among the most highly regarded chronograph models. The movement was developed by Omega in collaboration with Tissot, both part of the SSIH group, in 1933. Omega produced 33.3 chronographs in various configurations. Case materials included steel (CK), 18k gold (OT), 14k gold (OJ), and 20-micron gold plating (DB). The dials often featured telemeter, tachymeter, or pulsometer scales, or combinations of multiple scales. The initial 33.3 movements did not have a shock protection mechanism, but by 1942, Lemania introduced models with shock and magnetic protection. In 1948, the movements were rebranded into two series: cal. 170 for non-waterproof models and cal. 171 for waterproof models. Production of the movement ceased in 1952.OMEGA DB 2404
Harvinainen Omega DB 2404 Jumbo kronografi noin vuodelta 1948. Kellossa on hyvin säilynyt hopeoitu two-tone kellotaulu, jossa on ulkokehällä rodinoitu Tachymètre asteikko. Lehdenmuotoiset osoittimet ovat kullattua messinkiä ja sinistettyä terästä.
20 mikronin kullatussa kuoressa on pitkät reed-malliset korvakkeet. Takapohja on ruostumatonta terästä. Takapohjan sisäpuolella on Omegan leimat ja ref. numero 2404, ulkopuolella on merkintä 1010. Kuoressa ei ole tiivisteitä, joten kello soveltuu vain siistiin käyttöön.. Kuoren koko on 37,5 mm.
Kellossa on Omegan cal.33.3 CHRO T5 PC iskusuojattu, manuaalivetoinen kronografikoneisto. Koneisto on täysin kunnostettu.
Kellon ranneke on Hirsch London Alligator erikoistilaus malli. Ei alkuperäistä laatikkoa/papereita.

OMEGA 33.3
Omegan 1940-150-luvun kronografit, joissa käytettiin cal. 33.3 koneistoa, ovat yksi kaikkein arvostetuimpia kronografimalleja. Kelloissa käytetyn koneiston kehitti Omegan ja Tissotin kanssa samassa SSIH ryhmässä toimiva Lémania vuonna 1933.
Omega valmisti 33.3 kronografeja usiella eri konfiguraatioilla. Kuorimateriaalit olivat teräs (CK), 18k kulta (OT), 14k kulta (OJ) ja 20 mikronin kultaus (DB). Kellotauluissa toistui usein telemetri, takymetri tai pulsometri-asteikko, tai usean asteikon yhdistelmä.
Ensimmäisissä 33.3 koneistoissa ei ollut iskusuoja mekanismia, mutta jo 1942 Lemania toi isku- ja magneettisuojatut mallit tuotantoon. 1948 koneistot nimettiin uudelleen kahteen eri sarjaan: cal.170 oli tarkoitettu ei-vesitiiviisiin malleihin ja cal.171 vesitiiviisiin malleihin. Koneiston tuotanto päättyi vuonna 1952.
