BASIC INFORMATION

A Rare IWC Ingenieur Officially Certified Chronometer Automatic reference 3521, antimagnetic wristwatch from 1998.

Watch features beautiful deep black tritium dial with matching tritium hands. Three-piece stainless steel case and signature Ingenieur integrated steel bracelet remain in fine condition. Case retains water resistance, pressure tested to +3.0 / −0.4 bar. Case diameter measures 34 mm, yet wears visually larger due to distinctive design.

Inside is automatic calibre 887, developed for IWC by Jaeger-LeCoultre. Movement has previously undergone factory service and has now been subjected to full rate and power-reserve testing. Performance proved flawless. Rotor mass is made from platinum.

Watch is accompanied by original IWC black presentation box. Original papers no longer present.

IWC Ingenieur SL Automatic 3521 from 1998

Ingenieur 3521 Ingenieur Certified Chronometer case design originates from Gerald Genta. Genta designed original Ingenieur SL reference 1832 for IWC in 1976. Core design elements from that model—three-part case construction, antimagnetic inner cage, bezel architecture, and integrated steel bracelet—are all preserved in this more compact version. Antimagnetic shielding provides resistance up to 40,000 A/m. Ingenieur reference 3521 remained in production from 1993 until 2001. Serial number confirms production year 1998. Distinctive feature of reference 3521 is glossy pitch-black dial with all text printed in gold tone. Strong contrast between dial and steel case gives watch a commanding wrist presence that exceeds its actual size. Kellossa on Jaeger LeCoultren IWC:lle kehittämä cal.887 automaattikoneisto. Koneisto huollettu aiemmin tehdashuollossa ja nyt sille on tehty täydelliset käynti- ja reservitestit. Testeissä koneisto toimi moitteettomasti. Koneiston roottorin massa on platinaa.

INGENIEUR 3521

IWC Ingenieur Certified Chronometer mallin kuoren muotoilu on Gerald Gentan käsialaa. Genta suunnitteli IWC:lle Ingenieur SL 1832 mallin vuonna 1976. Tuon alkuperäisen SL mallin kolmiosainen kuorirakenne, antimagneettinen verho, lasisarja rakenne ja integroitu teräsranneke toistuvat myös tässä pienemmässä mallissa. Kuoren magneettiverhon antama suoja on 40 000 A/h.

Ingenieur ref. 3521 oli tuotannossa vuosina 1993-2001. Kello on sarjanumeron perusteella valmistettu vuonna 1998.

Ref. 3521 mallin erikoisuus oli pikimusta kiiltävä kellotaulu, jossa kaikki tekstit on kirjoitettu kultavärillä. Taulun voimakas kontrasti yhdistettynä Ingenieur -mallin teräskuoreen antaa kellolle ilmeen, jossa kello näyttää ranteessa paljon kokoaan suuremmalta. Tämä kello on harvinainen ja mustalla taululla erityisen haluttu malli.
