BASIC INFORMATION

Heuer Silverstone Automatic ref. 110.313 B from 1974, a rare and highly collectible chronograph.

Watch features an original and flawless blue tritium dial with matching hands. Blue color has remained exceptionally deep and vibrant, a notable rarity for this model. Stainless steel cushion-shaped case is in very fine condition. Case dimensions are 42 × 44 mm.

Movement is Heuer cal. 12 micro-rotor automatic chronograph, recently fully serviced and performing very well.

Watch is fitted with an original Heuer perforated blue leather strap with signed Heuer steel buckle.

Service pouch and service documentation are included. Original box and papers are not present.

Service warranty covers 12 months.

Heuer Silverstone Automatic from 1974

SILVERSTONE Heuer introduced the Silverstone model in 1974 as a successor to the Monaco launched in 1972. Silverstone retained the bold square-inspired design language but with softer, rounded lines. Model was produced in three dial colors: blue, grey, and red. Blue-dial version is considered the most iconic and the hardest to find in well-preserved condition, as many examples have faded to a yellowish tone over time. This example has retained its rich original blue color. CLAY REGAZZONI Most famous wearer of the Heuer Silverstone was Formula 1 driver Gianclaudio “Clay” Regazzoni (1939–2006), the most successful Swiss F1 driver of all time. Regazzoni raced for Ferrari, BRM, Ensign, Shadow, and later Williams. While driving for Williams, he won the 1979 British Grand Prix at Silverstone. Period photographs from the 1970s frequently show Regazzoni wearing a blue-dial Silverstone, further cementing the model’s racing heritage. ADDITIONAL NOTES Hands are original, but the tritium luminous material was relumed at some point in the past. Case surfaces were refinished during service. Watch is not water-resistant.

SILVERSTONE

Heuer esitteli Silverstone mallin vuonna 1974 ja sen tarkoitus oli korvata 1972 esitelty Heuer Monaco malli. Silverstone mallissa toistuivat Monacon muoto, mutta pyöreämpänä. Kelloa valmistettiin kolmessa eri värissä: sininen, harmaa ja punainen. Näistä sinitauluinen malli on tunnetuin ja vaikein löytää hyvässä kunnossa. Usein sininen väri on ajan myötä palanut kellertäväksi. Tässä meidän yksilössä väri on säilynyt kauniin syvän sinisenä.

CLAY REGAZZONI

Heuer Silverstone mallin tunnetuin käyttäjä oli F1 kuljettaja Gianclaudio ”Clay” Regazzoni (1939-2006). Hän on kaikkien aikojen menestynein sveitsiläinen F1 kuljettaja. Ragazzoni ajoi F1 autoa ensin Ferrarin tallissa ja myöhemmin myös BRM, Ensign ja Shadow talleissa päätyen lopulta Williamsille.
