Aquastar 63 Automatic diver’s watch from the 1960s.
BASIC INFORMATION
Rare Aquastar 63 Automatic diver’s watch from the 1960s. Ref. 1701.
Watch features a beautifully aged tritium dial and matching tritium hands. Dial is signed “Aquastar, Geneve, Automatic 200m/600ft”. For dive-time measurement, watch is equipped with an internal timing bezel located beneath the crystal and adjustable via the crown. Strong original-condition stainless steel case measures 37.5 mm and is fitted with the original crown. Case remains splash-resistant but is no longer suitable for diving use.
Aquastar 63 model is powered by an AS cal. 1700/1 automatic movement. Movement has just been fully serviced.

Harvinainen Aquastar 63 Automatic ref. 1701 sukeltajankello 1960-luvulta. Kellossa on kauniisti ikääntynyt tritium kellotaulu ja -osoittimet. Kellotaulussa on teksti Aquastar, Geneve, Automatic 200m/600ft. Sukellusajan mittausta varten kellossa on lasin alla muistikekko, jota voi säätää nupista kiertämällä. Kellossa on vahva 37.5 mm alkuperäiskuntoinen teräskuori ja alkuperäinen nuppi. Kuori on yhä roiskevesitiivis, mutta ei sovellu enää sukelluskäyttöön.
Aquastar 63 mallin AS cal.1700/1 automaattikoneisto on juuri huollettu.
Kellon musta Saffiano -nahkaranneke on meidän omasta mallistosta.
Kellolla on 12kk huoltotakuu.
AQUASTAR
Aquastar oli alunperin kellovalmistaja Jean Richard :in yksi tuotemerkeistä. Vuonna 1962 Jean Richard perusti pääyhtiön alle Aquastar SA:n joka keskittyi vain sukeltajankelloihin.
Merkin tunnetuimpia sukelluskellomalleja olivat Aquastar Benthos 500, Aquastar Deepstar sekä Aquastar 63.
Merkin useat mallit olivat käytössä mm. Jacques Cousteaun sukellusryhmällä. Cousteau itse oli mukana testaamassa mm. Deepstar mallia Conshelf III sukelluksien aikana.
