BASIC INFORMATION

18k Patek Philippe Calatrava Self-Winding ref. 3415J-200 from 1959. Exceptionally rare and highly important early automatic Patek Philippe.

Watch features an original, near-mint cream dial with alternating applied gold indices and engraved markers. Gold stick hands complete a perfectly balanced and understated dial layout. 18k yellow gold case is in excellent condition and fitted with a signed Patek Philippe gold crown. Screw-down caseback provides enhanced water resistance for the era. Case diameter is 35 mm.

Movement is Patek Philippe cal. 12-600, brand’s first automatic movement. Movement was fully serviced at Patek Philippe factory service in 2016.

Strap is a new and unused Patek Philippe alligator leather strap fitted with a 14 mm 18k gold Patek Philippe buckle.

Watch is accompanied by a Patek Philippe leather pouch, Extract from the Archives certificate, and official Patek Philippe factory service documentation.

Watch is covered by a 12-month service warranty.

18k Patek Philippe 3415J Self Winding from 1959

REF. 3415 Patek Philippe reference 3415 is one of rarest models powered by cal. 12-600 automatic movement. Production lasted only around 18 months between 1958/59 and 1960. Total production is estimated at approximately 370 pieces: around 300 in yellow gold, 40 in rose gold, and only about 30 in white gold. No steel examples are known to exist today. According to museum records, this example was manufactured in 1959 and delivered to a retailer on February 10, 1960. Many watches from this period received restored dials during later service. Factory service documentation for this watch explicitly states that dial condition was so exceptional that restoration was not recommended. Dial remains in near-new condition. ⸻ CAL. 12-600 SELF-WINDING Patek Philippe cal. 12-600 AT Self-Winding was brand’s first automatic movement, introduced in 1953 alongside reference 2526. Movement features 30 jewels and a solid 18k gold rotor with fine guilloché decoration. Regulation is handled by Patek Philippe’s patented Gyromax balance. Cal. 12-600 is widely regarded as one of finest and most beautifully finished automatic movements ever produced by Patek Philippe. According to Patek Philippe Museum, total production reached approximately 7,100 movements between 1953 and 1958. Movement was used in references 2526, 2540, 2552, 2584, and 3415.

Hyvin harvinainen 18k Patek Philippe Calatrava Self Winding ref. 3415J-200 vuodelta 1959.

Kellossa on uudenveroinen ja alkuperäinen kermanvärinen kellotaulu, jossa kultaiset- ja tauluun kaiverretut indeksit vuorottelevat. Kultaiset osoittimet ovat Stick -mallia. 18k kultakuori on erittäin hyvässä kunnossa. Kuoressa on PP:n kultainen nuppi. Takapohjassa on vesitiivis kierrettävä rakenne. Kuoren koko on 35 mm.

Koneisto on Patek Philippen ensimmäinen automaattikoneisto cal. 12-600. Koneisto on täydellisesti kunnostettu PP:n tehdashuollossa 2016.

Ranneke on uusi ja käyttämätön PP:n alligaattori malli ja siinä on PP:n 14mm, 18k kultainen solki.

Kellon mukana tulee PP:n nahkainen suojakotelo, PP:n Extract-from-Archives -museotodistus sekä PP:n tehtaan huoltodokumentit.

Kellolla on 12 kk huoltotakuu.

Patek Philippe 3415 on yksi harvinaisimmista PP:n 12-600 automaattikoneistolla varustetuista malleista. Se oli tuotannossa vain puolentoista vuoden ajan vuodesta 1958/59 vuoteen 1960. Tämän lyhyen tuotantoajan vuoksi mallia ehti valmistua tämänhetkisen tiedon mukaan vain n. 370 kpl Näistä 300 kpl oli keltakultaisia, 40 kpl punakultaisia ja 30 valkokultaista malleja (valkokultaisia on todettu olevan jäljellä vain muutamia). Teräskuorella tätä mallia ei tunneta tai niitä ei ole jäljellä.

Tämä meidän yksilö on museotodistuksen mukaan valmistettu vuonna 1959 ja myyty tehtaalta jälleenmyyjälle 10.2.1960. Moni tämän aikakauden kelloista on käytön myötä kulunut niin, että niiden kellotaulut on restauroitu jossain vaiheessa. Tämän kellon tehtaan huoltotodistuksessa on erikseen mainittu, että tämän kellon kellotaulu on niin hyvässä kunnossa, että restaurointia ei suositella. Se onkin yhä aivan uudenveroinen.

CAL. 12-600 SELF-WINDING

Patek Philippe 12-600 AT Self-Winding oli Patek Philippen ensimmäinen automaattikoneisto ja se esiteltiin yhtä aikaa 2526 mallin mukana vuonna 1953. Koneistossa on 30 laakerikiveä ja 18K kultainen roottori upealla guilloche-kuvioinnilla. Käyntilaite oli Patekin patentoima Gyromax-liipotin.

12-600 AT koneistosta on sanottu, että se oli ehkä parhaiten viimeistelty ja kaunein Patekin valmistama automaattikoneisto. Patek Philippen museon mukaan koneistoa valmistettiin yhteensä 7100 kpl vuosina 1953-1958 ja se oli käytössä malleissa: 2526, 2540, 2552, 2584 ja 3415.
