Extremely rare and beautiful 18K Vacheron Constantin Ultrathin Automatic, Reference 2045Q. Complete set from 1979.
This rare white gold timepiece features a superb brown tropical sigma dial with white gold hands. Originally blue, the dial has developed a rich tropical brown patina over the decades. It is adorned with raised 18K white gold Vacheron Constantin Maltese Cross and white gold indices. The case measures 37 x 32 mm.
Powering this model is the legendary caliber K1121 ultra-thin automatic movement, measuring a mere 2.45 mm in thickness. Historically significant, this movement was first introduced in 1972 in the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Jumbo 5402ST (caliber 2121) and later in 1976 in the Patek Philippe Nautilus 3700 Jumbo (28-255C). Originally developed by Jaeger-LeCoultre as caliber 920, the movement has been fully serviced in our own workshop at Longitudi and is running excellently.
The watch features an 18K white gold integrated bracelet with a Milanese finish on top. Both the case and bracelet remain in excellent condition.
Watch is accompanied with: original Vacheron Constantin leather watch box, original certificate of origin (Lane Crawford Ltd, Hong Kong), service documents and user instructions.

Vacheron Constantin Ultrathin ref. 2045Q is an extremely rare model. To the best of our knowledge, only a few hundred were ever produced.Most known examples were crafted in 18K yellow gold and delivered with a leather strap. Integrated bracelets were significantly rarer, and white gold models were the rarest of all. Dial variations were numerous, ranging from plain champagne gold to pavé diamond models.

Kellossa on upea ruskean sävyyn ikääntynyt tropical sigma-taulu valkokultaisilla osoittimilla. Alunperin sininen kellotaulu on vuosikymmenten kuluessa kehittänyt kauniin ruskean patinan. Taulussa on 18K valkokultainen Vacheron Constantinin Maltan risti -logo sekä valkokultaiset indeksit. Kuoren koko on 37 x 32 mm.
Vacheron Constantin käytti tässä mallissa koneistona cal. K1121 ultraohutta automaattikoneistoa, jonka paksuus on vain 2,45 mm.
