A.LANGE & SÖHNE NAVIGATION WATCH

Rare silver-cased A.Lange & Söhne Beobachtungsuhren (B-Uhr) navigation watch from approximately 1945.

Watch features a well-preserved silvered dial with blued steel hands. Dial includes a running seconds subdial at 3 o’clock and a power reserve indicator (ab-auf) at 9 o’clock. Original silver case is in good condition, and the dial is protected by an acrylic crystal. Case size is 59 mm.

Lange used a manual-winding cal.48 chronometer movement, with a power reserve of approximately 35 hours. Movement was fully serviced by us in 4/2026 and performed very well in tests.

Watch is accompanied with Deutches Uhrenmuseum Extract from Archives certificate.

Watch comes with a 12-month service warranty.

A.Lange & Söhne B-Uhr navigation watch from 1945

KRIEGSMARINE B-UHR In 1940, A.Lange & Söhne received an order from the German Navy (Deutsche Seewarte / Kriegsmarine) and Air Force (Luftwaffe) for new navigation watches. Production of cal. 48 navigation watches began in 1941. Watches were made in two versions: those for the Kriegsmarine featured a running seconds subdial at 3 o’clock, while those for the Luftwaffe had a large central seconds hand—or in some cases, both. Cal.48 was designed for navigation use, and each movement underwent testing at the Navy Observatory, where the maximum 24-hour rate-variation was allowed to be 1 second per day. Inside the case back, the manufacturer of the movement and the finisher’s names were engraved separately. In this particular watch, both are marked as A.Lange & Söhne, Glashütte. Included is a Deutches Uhrenmuseum Extract from Archives certificate with copies of the original order documents. The first document details the order date of the raw movement, the client, and the delivery date (1943, Kriegsmarine, 1944). The second document records the watch’s discharge, buyer, and delivery date (1945, Komitenta B/O Technischer Import, 1946). Watch came to us from a family collection from Helsinki.

A.LANGE & SÖHNE NAVIGAATIOKELLO

Harvinainen hopeakuorinen A.Lange & Söhne Beobachtungsuhren (B-Uhr) eli navigaatiokello noin vuodelta 1945.

Kellossa on hyväkuntoinen hopeoitu kellotaulu sinistetyillä teräsosoittimilla. Kellotaulussa on klo 3 kohdalla juokseva sekuntiosoitin ja klo 9 kohdalla jousivoiman näyttö (ab-auf). Alkuperäinen hopeakuori on hyvässä kunnossa ja kellotaulun suojana on akryylilasi. Kuoren koko on 59 mm.

Lange käytti tässä mallissa manuaalivetoista cal.48 kronometrikoneistoa, jonka käyntiaika oli n. 35 h. Kellon koneisto on meillä täysin kunnostettu 4/2026 ja testeissä se toimi erittäin hyvin.

Kellolla on 12 kk huoltotakuu.

KRIEGSMARINE B-UHR

A.Lange & Söhne sai Saksan laivastolta (Deutche Seewarte / Kriegsmarine) ja ilmavoimilta (Luftwaffe) tilauksen uusille navigaatiokelloille vuonna 1940. Cal.48 navigaatiokellojen valmistus alkoi vuonna 1941. Kelloa valmistettiin kahtena eri versiona, jossa laivastolle menevissä kelloissa oli juokseva sekunti klo 3 kohdalla. Ilmavoimille menevissä malleissa oli suuri keskisekuntiosoitin tai joissan tapauksissa molemmat. Cal. 48 oli tarkoitettu navigaatiokäyttöön ja jokainen koneisto kävi laivaston observatorion testeissä, jossa 24 tunnin käyntivariaatio sai olla maksimissaan 1 s/vrk.

Kellojen sisäkanteen merkittiin koneiston valmistaja ja koneiston viimeistelijän nimet erikseen. Tässä meidän yksilössä molempien kohdalla on nimi A.Lange & Söhne, Glasshütte.

Kellon mukana tulee Deutches Uhrenmuseum:n Extract-from-Archives todistus, jossa on kopiot alkuperäisistä tilauskirjoista. Ensimmäinen kertoo kellon raakakoneiston tilauspäivän, tilaajan ja toimituspäivän (1943, Kriegsmarine, 1944). Toisessa on kellon uloskirjaus, ostaja ja toimituspäivä (1945, Komitenta B/O Technischer Import, 1946).
