Original black Swiss-only Luminova dial with matching hands. Black GMT bezel and stainless steel case are in excellent condition. Case remains water-resistant and has been pressure tested to +10/-0.7 bar. Case diameter is 40 mm.

Movement is Rolex cal. 3185 automatic GMT movement, serviced by Lindroos in September 2024.

Bracelet is original Rolex Oyster ref. 78790 in very good condition. Clasp code X3 (March 1999).

Included are original Rolex inner and outer boxes, Lindroos service certificate, and Rolex service card. No original sales papers.

Rolex official service warranty valid until September 2026.

Rolex GMT-Master II 16710 from 1999

Dial variant is known among collectors as “Swiss-only”. Text at the bottom of the dial indicates the luminous material used on dial and hands. Tritium-based luminous material was used by Rolex from 1963 to 1998 and is identified by the marking “Swiss-T<25”. Non-radioactive photoluminescent Luminova was introduced in 1998 and used briefly until 1999. These dials are marked simply “Swiss”. SWISS ONLY

Tämän kellon kellotaulun malli tunnetaan keräilijöiden keskuudessa nimellä Swiss-only. Taulun alaosan teksti kertoo taulussa ja osoittimissa käytetyn loisteaineen materiaalin.

Radioluminesenssiin perustuva tritium loistemassa oli käytössä Rolexin kelloissa vuosina 1963-1998. Nämä tritium kellotaulut tunnistaa taulun alaosan merkinnästä Swiss-T<25.

Rolex otti ei-radioaktiivisen, fotoluminesenssiin perustuvan Luminova loistemassan käyttöön vuonna 1998 ja se oli käytössä 1999 asti. Nämä taulut merkittiin vain tekstillä Swiss.

Super-Luminova korvasi Luminovan vuonna 2000. Nämä rolexin kellotaulut tunnistaa merkinnästä Swiss Made.
