Watch boasts an exceptionally beautiful black lacquered tritium dial and original tritium hands. Acrylic crystal is original. The Super-Compressor case, patented by Piquerez (EPSA) and manufactured by Longines, is in excellent condition. Case features the original Compressor-style crowns, one for winding and setting the hands, and the other for adjusting the inner rotating ring. Caseback showcases a raised image of a diver with a harpoon. Watch is splash-resistant, tested at +3.0/-0.4 bar. The case measures 42 mm in diameter.
The Longines cal. 290 automatic movement has been meticulously restored to perfection.
The watch comes with a 22 mm JB-Champion expanding bracelet as well as a leather strap from our own collection. JB-Champion is known to have supplied Longines dive watches with expanding bracelets in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
Also included is a Longines Extract-from-Archives certificate, confirming that the watch was manufactured in 1965 and originally delivered to Sweden.

LONGINES DIVE WATCHES IN 1960’S
Longines produced its first waterproof Nautilus 6921 models in the late 1950s, but these were primarily “skin-diver” models and not suitable for professional divers. Longines introduced its first Pro-Diver model ref. 7042-1 in the early 1960s. It was designed with Piquerez SA 42 mm Super-Compressor steel case which had internal rotating bezel, and twin crowns. It was powered by the AS19 automatic movement, previously used in Conquest models. The case provided a water resistance of 100 meters. The 7042 series had three variations until it was succeeded by the improved 7150 model, which offered increased water resistance, reaching 200 meters. The initial 7150-1 version still used the AS19 movement, but with the 7150-2 model, it was replaced by the cal. 290, operating at a higher frequency. Both 7150 models retained the Super-Compressor case design, but featured improved crown protection for enhanced water resistance. Other changes were made to the dial and hands. Subsequent developments included the ref. 7494 and 7594, which were virtually identical to the 7150 models. By the end of the 1960s, Longines phased out the Super-Compressor design and began using external bezels and mineral crystals instead. Kellossa on poikkeuksellisen kaunis musta lakattu tritium kellotaulu ja alkuperäiset tritium osoittimet. Akryylilasike on alkuperäinen. Piquerezin (EPSA) patentoima ja Longineksen valmistama Super-Compressor kuori on hyvässä kunnossa. Kuoressa on alkuperäiset Compressor-mallin nupit, joissa on ristikkokuvio. Toinen nupeista on vetämistä ja osoittimien asetusta varten. Toisella säädetään lasikkeen alla olevaa muistirengasta. Takakannessa on kohokuvio sukeltajasta harppuuna kädessä. Kello on roiskevesitiivis, testattu +3.0/-0,4 bar. Kuoren koko on 42 mm.
Longines cal. 290 automaattikoneisto on juuri täydellisesti kunnostettu.
Kellon mukana tulee 22 mm JB-Champion joustoranneke sekä nahkaranneke meidän omasta mallistosta. JB-Champion:n tiedetään toimittaneen Longineksen sukeltajankelloihin joustoranteita 1950-1960-luvun vaihteessa. 1
Mukana tulee myös Longines Extract-from-Archives -todistus jonka mukaan kello on valmistettu 1965 ja toimitettu silloin Ruotsiin.
Kellolla on 12-kuukauden huoltotakuu.
LONGINEKSEN SUKELTAJANKELLOT 1960-LUVULLA
Longines valmisti ensimmäiset kevyeen sukelluskäyttöön soveltuvat 6921 Nautilus mallit jo 1950-luvun lopulla, mutta nämä olivat vain nk.skin-diver malleja ja eivät soveltuneet ammattisukeltajien käyttöön. 1960-luvun vaihteessa Longines esitteli ensimmäisen vahvalla EPSA:n Super-Compressor kuorirakenteella valmistetun 7042-1 mallin. Kellossa oli 42 mm teräskuori, sisäinen kierrettävä lasisarja ja kaksi nuppia. Koneistona oli mm. Conquest malleista tuttu AS19 automaattikoneisto. Kuori oli 100 m vedenpitävä. 7042 mallista tehtiin kolme variaatiota kunnes sen korvasi vesitiiviydeltään parannettu malli 7150.
Ensimmäisessä 7150-1 versiossa oli käytössä vielä AS19 koneisto, mutta 7150-2 mallin myötä käyttöön tuli cal. 290 joka toimi korkeammalla taajuudella. 7150 malleissa oli käytössä sama Compressor kuori, mutta nupit olivat paremmin suojatut ja tätä kautta kuori oli 200 m vedenpitävä. Muut muutokset kohdistuivat kellotaulun ja osoittimien ilmeeseen.
Seuraava kehitysversiot olivat ref. 7494 ja 7594 jotka olivat käytännössä identtisiä 7150 mallille. Longines luopui Super-Compressor rakenteesta 1960-luvun loppuun mennessä ja siirtyi käyttämään ulkoista lasisarjaa ja mineraalilasia.
